Off the western tip of territory Africa lie probably the essential remnants of the transoceanic slave trade – the destruction of boats that sank, as they were conveying a large number of Igbo men, ladies and kids to the Americas.
Presently a group of researchers is endeavouring to utilize the disaster areas to take in more of this horrible period in mankind’s history.
Majority of the victims of the transatlantic slave trade were Igbo’s of the hinterland and Senegalese people.
