The crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Enugu, Original capital city of the Republic of Biafra worsened on Wednesday as thugs invaded the campaign office of ex dictators and presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, (Rtd.), wounding several persons.
Biafra 24 gathered that the thugs were sponsored by other members of the party to vent their anger over some internal issues.
The APC, Enugu State chapter, was first hit by crisis shortly after its presidential campaign rally in Enugu, with some members accusing the Buhari’s campaign committee in the State of embezzling millions of naira.
The fracas that followed led to the wounding of several party members.
Biafra 24 learnt that on Wednesday, some thugs stormed Buhari’s campaign office and started beating his supporters.
The youth leader of the APC in the State, Mr. Iyke Oloko, who was reportedly beaten and taken away by the thugs, later circulated a text message, where he accused the party’s guber candidate, Barr. Okey Ezea of sponsoring the attack.
The chairman of the APC in Enugu State, Barr. Ben Nwoye and the guber candidate, Barr. Okey Ezea are yet to react to the development.
It would be recalled that General Buhari was one of those who led attacks against the people of Biafra, which resulted in the killing of millions of Biafrans during the war.
