The Delta State Police Command says it killed two alleged armed robbers and arrested five suspected cultists. The arrested cultists, according to the police, are said to be members of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity in Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara. According to a statement by ASP Omo-Uwuigbe Nosakhare, on behalf of the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Celestina Kalu, the suspected cultists were arrested while holding a meeting at Onodia Palm Groove Club, Otefe-Oghara.The statement added that the suspected armed robbers were killed along Warri/Sapele Road and along Affianta Road, Ibusa respectively. It explained that while one of the robbery suspects was killed during an exchange of gunfire following an encounter by a gang with the police, the other died from gunshot wounds on his way to hospital after his three- man robbery gang, suspecting a patrol team was on its trail, opened fire on the police team with his two gang members escaping after abandoning two locally made cut-to-size guns, two battle axes and one live cartridge.
